Blog Notes: When I saw the Angel

This will be very different from what people are used to about the “blog notes” I have done before, I feel. This happened six times total so I just wanted to share the moments that they happened! Each date will be mentioned.

Just a brief intro. God is amazing! He does a lot of things in our lives and sometimes He will if you are living for Him encourage you in an individual special way. Praise the Lord and His unlimited love!

6/1/21

I was going to work after spending time reading (or possibly also) writing on this blog. It was just an ordinary day and while I was working I had a customer behind my one I was ringing up. It was him. Only I didn’t know it was an angel. He was just smiling at me. I just thought, “He has such joy.” like he was maybe just some nice guy. When I was ringing him up he was talking small chat for a little while. Then he quipped, “I don’t even know your name.”

I looked down and saw I put my nametag on backwards. I usually do this when I am so caught up in the mess of the daily grind and don’t check because sometimes I am in a rush especially when I get to work and I am in the lounge later than I want to be!

I turned it around and he said my name and then remarked, “That is a beautiful name.” My name means bearer of Christ.

Then right before he walked away he shared his. He was a Hispanic looking man so when He said this I quietly responded back. He said “My name… is Jesus.” I said “Oh ‘Hay-zoo-ss.'” and then it he leaned down in a partial bow and pointed upwards to the sky with his thumb then walked out of my line.

The moment he left it dawned on me and I cried. Thank you for the encouragement Lord.

More to come

Transforming Grace- 7/2/21

The love that first loved me. That is what I hope to be. One day we will completely rid our old selves and be completely new! But sadly that will only happen after the end times. Those times will be tough for ones who especially never saw that hope here. There is a chance many Christians who have done things in the wrong heart (without Christ) will wonder why they weren’t with their fellow believers. It’s a scary sad time and will feel like the end for a lot.

But in those times within there is still somehow God’s mercy. He could have taken the earth apart and completely killed everyone who wasn’t without His grace but God’s Word does not say that will happen after the Lord is getting ready to come, to rule on earth and be back in bodily form. There in the midst of all the sorrows of loss and terrible tribulations following what has come right before it will have the chance to still know Jesus.

Why don’t we listen to what Christ wants for us today? We must be one who will be guided by His father, God. And what we can do for that is reading the bible. He can speak to us if we do that.

But the heart must be changed first before we could ever know the truth.

I was just thinking about a hymn about the transforming grace of Jesus. He can change a person from the inside out. The person and their soul does absolutely nothing to end up believing. God can get us as we are but by the power of the Holy Spirit (it’s like a “whisper” or a leading from the heart to know Him) that only He can do will a person find out they need Him, the Father.

He takes us as are, which is full of sin. We are the reviled, the awful, the worst people in all the earth even as much as early as the moment we are born to the world.

I think of my own sin. It is selfish, pitiful, it is so vile I hate is so much as I try to follow the One who’s ways are so much better than my own.

I see such deep pits of selfishness. But when I want to follow Christ, I see such depths of His heart that His father has for us.

It is amazing. It is awesome grace. It is worth living for!

We cannot live for God with our sin so we must know that Jesus died on the cross for it so we don’t have to live without him forever (and end up in hell) but accept that Christ died for you and take His love like a gift. Jesus also had risen again after He took the punishment though he was perfect. He showed that He had power even over death! Don’t you want your life to end up in a world where you get to see heaven?

Then pray if you need to like this:

God, I realize that anything I do in life is just selfishness and is not enough to go to heaven. I also know that by the love of You and through Your Son Jesus who died on the cross He paid for not just the world’s sin but for all of my sin too. I want to live a life to be a believer in Christ and be guided by what You want me to do. Thank You for hearing me. Amen.

I pray your life had been transformed by the grace of Jesus today!

Devotions Light- 6/30/21

I’m almost groaning as much as the other time. Rebelliousness is awful. God, may I remember what You’ve taught me because I cannot “live” in any other way…!

Do you prefer to live in seeming darkness? Have you ever been afraid of your deeds to be exposed by the “light?”

I know that no one likes their sin to be known to all, even if they might be proud of it. Or there at has been one time where they have this feeling of shame about it. At least one moment!

God does not like sin. He doesn’t even like anyone’s sin! He either will punish the ones who have not been redeemed or will give consequences to believers who continue to go in the way they act that they might claim they only know how.

But there is hope in the midst of people who feel they only know sin. We need a church to help guide us the right way. A real bible-believing church!

Whether we know that or not we need reassurance through fellowship and to seek His goodness.

We need to be inside of Christ’s words if we don’t read the bible. Also there is need to go out of our way to give time to Him to read His word also.

Speaking of His word:

The Lord is my light and my salvation. Psalm 27:1

Like a guiding light we should depend a little more every day on Him and also know and remember who saved us from that sin!

If we continue on in our old life, we might become seemingly hopeless. I have had such depth to my own sin I had terrible sad emotions after a while.

But if we know our strength is in the Lord then we can realize that we have hope. There is always a reason to move on and press on, even if a way through life even seems impossible!

Or maybe you haven’t learned about true life in Jesus.

From what I went through I experienced life from knowing Christ. He is real. I can only say that to you at the very least but I pray and hope that you get to experience Him too!

As we close out this time, this month that is well-known I want to share just how proud I am that Christ did so much to change me!

When I wasn’t listening to what He was telling me, I found a hope eventually that was a great comfort. And that was only by being as faithful as I could be.

In these trying times, I found a true path by looking for what else God had in store for me.

Thought the relationship didn’t work out at the time, I still prayed and tried to be faithful to Him in the midst of not knowing who God would send me.

I found that woman after waiting on the Lord. To see just how amazing living a life for Christ can be it is true we have to know that we have sin and cannot know God because of it.

We have sin. An example can be a man who has slept with alot of women. That is wrong, right?

If you think that is okay because he might be an adult it is bad because one day he will be accountable to God.

We all have sin. If we don’t know a good that can save us from it we could be lost and without Christ. And spend eternity in a place called hell.

If we have no hope from God’s Son we have no hope, no matter what the world may say!

It is a sad truth that this world has fallen to sin long ago. Adam choosing to sin was so great that the bible doesn’t even claim that Eve helped do it. It is said that Adam had a responsibility and because he instead of walking with and living for God in close intimacy he chose to eat that fruit in the garden of Eden the bible says, “sin entered the world through one man.” (part of Romans 5:12)

But surely if sin is so vast we can find a way to save ourselves right? Nope.

But God made a way because He sees something in you and wants you to know how much He loves you.

In the bible John 3:16 it says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

You might not be going to heaven but God made a way so that would not be your destiny today.

God gave us Jesus not because He deserved to die but because He was perfect and without evil in his heart. He loved the Lord and we should at the very least want Him in our lives to be like Him.

He is described as the “Lamb of God” because He was without blemish (He was perfect!) and to stop sin from prevailing in the hearts of all people He had to die in their place.

Christ took the world’s sin. He perished for everyone’s sin. He also died for both your sin and mine!

He faced horrible punishment for your sin, was bled by whipping and was tortured on the cross because his blood needed to be spilled for man’s penalty.

The bible says, “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” (Hebrews 9:22)

Then Christ passed away on the cross. His dead body was laid in a tomb. But then after three days, Jesus Christ rose again!

Like a light of the world He can live on in people’s hearts who want to live for Him but first they must want a relationship with the Lord of our lives.

We might want to live on in our sin but God made a way where no one would have to.

That is why to not be in “darkness” is an awful place to dwell in so it is better to see how God sees us and experience the truth of His great love.

We don’t deserve Jesus but yet here we are, finding out about Him!

If you feel led pray this prayer:

God I found out that I can have no hope without what I thought was you. I have sin and it is sin that is undoable by my own actions. I don’t want to end up in a bad place because I heard that you really did send Your Son Jesus Christ to die for my sin. I am grateful that He paid that penalty, I am also glad that He was able to show He had power over death. I want to live a life where I can live forever in Your Son Jesus. To live a relationship I want to start living for Him. Thank you for hearing me. You are my true love in this life. Change me as I follow Your ways.

Now one more verse:

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. Isaiah 60:1

May you live for a glory that will send you on a journey of life and through love that you are amazed by. Have a blessed day reader.

Devotions Hebrews- 6/8/21

It sucks I can’t drink coffee right now, haha! But it’s a “sacrifice” I am entirely willing (and happy) to make if it is, in this condition, bad for me. (It will exacerbate my physical problem).

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

There are a lot of churches out there: There’s what one might say good ones, the other ones but generally, if they teach the bible they are good churches. Some churches want to save the “lost” that come in, some want to hold onto the members they have for comfortability’s sake, some want to preach and rejoice and shout the word of God! Others would rather talk about Jesus in a seemingly “quieter” manner.

I say if it’s a “full Bible” institution for everything to try to be a good faithful servant, I am all for it! What do I mean by saying “Full Bible” for a church and its believers…?

I mean as in everything it says is the word and if you leave stuff out… there will be problems with spiritual life. People will toil on and on in their old lives and there will be little or no growth within the church body.

Because like a dose of medicine for the body, the Bible is vitalizing to the soul. Growth for an individual needs to happen not just depending on other people within the body. The bible needs to be the foundation of a good church. Otherwise, there is a possibility no “good” will come from that so-called Bible church.

There is a book that I am hoping to one day read that talks about churches having the conformity of the world in them. That looks like a great one. But I was kind of surprised never thinking someone would call it one for “apologetics.”

I never thought a church like “that” would need apologetics (which explains the context of the scripture from the bible) but it clicked and totally made sense!

I feel like doing that in a supposed church is not like other religions. Those religions actually teach stuff from the bible and in loving and caring for others. They also have reasons to speak badly of the bad stuff. They teach patience, “bettering” yourself.

Yet “this” kind of place of same-minded “believers”, one that is of the world before it speaks of standing out from the world, is no different than some of the worst cults out there!

I still stand by the quick quip about fan-clubs. I’d rather risk scrutiny from the world than not give the gospel. I’d rather people spit in my face because I’m speaking against “their” truth than give my own truth and claim it’s what Jesus “wanted.”

Time is ticking churches: Do you know when Jesus will come? Will you be speaking the “truth?” Is the gospel the truth in your own heart…?

Or do you believe that the rapture is something “evil” and will claim against it meanwhile all the people in your body group might still be there when the end of ends come.

Thunder rattles sometimes as if to give us fear about what might come above. What would come “from above?”

Do not be afraid of evil or Satan, churches, but be afraid of the one who might choose to “send” you to heaven or hell.

Yes I say, fear Him!

I believe I have met Michael the archangel. Is he here to stay?

I have met a different angel as well. One who has sent such spiritual encouragement.

Thank You Lord for these tough things that help me think about what I’m doing with my own life. I can’t do anything without Your amazing love, interference, and mercy and joy!

In You I can depend on life not by my own hand or strength but because of the amazing power of when You gave us Your Son to die and rise to live again and in effect, also live in our hearts. Amen!

Thief in the Night- 5/26/21

If the Lord doesn’t tarry what would you do? What I mean by that is this: What if we might see the end times soon? What if the Lord has had enough of all of our sin? What would you do about it? Would you be ready to one day have Jesus coming again?

My church is going over the book of 1 Thessalonians. In that, of the fifth chapter it says “The day of the Lord… comes” as a “thief in the night.” What could that mean?

Can it be used as a warning to people not ready yet to know Christ or to people who want to be used by Christ that keep living deep in stuff that does not honor God?

A thief comes unexpectedly. It is like a person who steals stuff away from people before they even realize it. One like that could take valuables, clothing, money, and then be gone before the people left behind in all of it will even notice it.

Some are so good they can sneak into a house and steal things from people’s houses in the middle of the day! Wow. Now that is a good thief!

There is a lot of surprising evidence also in the bible that talks of people being taken up to be with the Lord before the hardest days on earth can occur. I will reference them later in case you wonder about them (it is good to “wonder” about things, hehe. Sorry self-commercial over).

Yes the bible does support a way that Christians with conviction I believe is mixed with the world that are claiming horrible things about this from the bible. The “rapture” is NOT demonic, let me tell you guys straight and simply:

Do not claim something like that is demonic because if you claim conviction on that… maybe you are in reality influenced by something that IS demonic.

I have to warn some people as critical as a fire alarm. Just putting that out there, believers online that have made such a (self) righteous claim.

Sorry sometimes I want to push some conviction like a pastor…. I digress!

We cannot stop Christ coming if it is meant to be. But we also must live in the here and now and fear the Lord. Does that mean we have to think he will strike us down in death if we don’t follow every step all the time? No.

“Fear the Lord.” Hmm.

Did you know in the bible it says about not fearing Satan but fearing God who chooses to take you to heaven or hell, yes Paul says, fear Him?

That is talking about eventualities in eternity but fearing God today just means something else.

If you believe you know Him then it is to be mindful of His commands and to walk in the Spirit and not stay in old lusts and old ways from your pasts.

It also means to live for Christ as in making decisions that might hurt (like individual choices that God would honor though would emotionally be tough) but then the Lord would then bless in response. It means making big decisions that might be uncomfortable to do (witness? Start little. Then you will see blessings. Keep at it and before you know it you’ll love living for the Lord!).

Just following God and walking fully and wholeheartedly will do amazing things in your life. People who want to follow Christ must deny their old selves and then walk and live in Him. Maybe after we all give our all the Lord tarries. There is a chance.

Also doing so like this every day will cause amazing things in our lives to happen. Who knows what can happen because of the Love and deep mercies of Christ from His father? Amen!
